Mycenaeans at Rumble as part of BBC's Civilisations Festival

We're delighted to be taking part in the BBC's Civilisations Festival this month with an exhibition, talks and performance from a professional storyteller.

On Monday 5th March, Jeff Wright, Storyteller and Creator of the Trojan War Podcast will deliver a fast-paced, hugely exciting show featuring some of the best-loved excerpts from the Iliad, as well as stories from before the Trojan War and from the Odyssey.

Jeff's Trojan War Podcast has been downloaded more than 325,000 times in 134 nations and his Leadership Lessons from a Bronze Age War seminar has inspired top executives across Canada, helping them to focus on top leadership questions while enjoying Jeff’s unique storytelling flare.

As well as the performance, there will be displays of some of our ancient Greek and Mycenaean items in our collection, and talks for the wider community on the civilisations and stories from the Iliad and Odyssey.

You can hear more about our collection and events if you tune into BBC Radio Oxford at 2pm on Monday 5th March!
