For two weeks this August, we are running an exciting project to open the historic building of St Alban's Church in East Oxford to the public. Visitors will be able to explore the historic, artistic and architectural features of the building in trails designed for both adults and children, as well as being able to enjoy a hot or cold drink and snack at a pop-up cafe.
The cafe will be running every weekday morning between 9 and 12 from Monday 29th July to Friday 9th August. Visitors of all ages are welcome to drop by, whether to explore the building, or simply to enjoy having a cup of coffee in a historic and beautiful setting. We are doing an initial "pilot run" on Saturday 6th July, 2 - 4pm.
This is a secular project to open up a historic building, and develop museum learning and community friendship.
The address of the church is:
St Alban's Church, Charles Street, Oxford, OX4 3AH
The cafe is drop-in, with no need to book in advance.
